I designed this tattoo to represent the strength and connection within a family. The octopus symbolizes the child at the center, and I used detailed shading and subtle gradients to give it depth, texture, and a sense of lifelike movement. The two chrysanthemums surrounding it represent the parents—chosen for their symbolism of loyalty, devotion, and protection. I combined bold, clean outlines with softer interior shading to create contrast, define each element, and emphasize the balance between strength and softness within the family bond. My goal was to create a piece that feels both powerful and harmonious, capturing the unity and support that hold a family together.
