Pattern Design

This project was created for the illustration markets and serves as a snapshot of my design process, research, and development stages. Using Adobe Illustrator, I gathered reference material for inspiration, built a cohesive color palette, and explored variations in form and markings. This breakdown highlights the detailed steps I take to move from concept to final design, blending creativity with structured visual development.

This full pattern design demonstrates the scalability and seamless repetition capabilities developed for the illustration market project. Created in Adobe Illustrator, the pattern showcases how individual design elements can be arranged to form a cohesive, continuous surface suitable for a wide range of applications, including textiles, packaging, and digital media. The project highlights both the visual rhythm and technical precision required to successfully build repeatable patterns.

This portion of the project showcases the main pattern design along with a series of complementary patterns created to expand the collection. Using Adobe Illustrator, I developed variations in color, texture, and layout to maintain visual consistency while offering flexibility for different applications. This demonstrates my ability to build cohesive pattern families that can be used across a range of products, enhancing both branding and design versatility.

This portion of the project features product mock-ups demonstrating how the main and complementary patterns can be applied across a variety of merchandise. Using Adobe Illustrator and digital mock-up templates, I showcased the patterns on apparel, drinkware, and accessories to highlight their versatility and real-world application potential. This stage of the project emphasizes how cohesive pattern collections can enhance branding and expand into commercial markets.
